1) Shopping:

The iPad is a great tool for those who do their weekly shopping! For now you still have to work with a program like notes. I do so because I’m not able to find an app that suits my shopping needs! I’m currently working on an iOS app to solve this problem and will make your shopping a lot easier, but that’s another post!

2) Watching Television:

Watching television on the iPad is actually really easy, the only thing you need is EyeTV running it’s 3th version of the software and the EyeTV software for the iPad, that’s it, just settle down and enjoy your favorite TV shows and more! When I’m doing the dishes, I just love the fact that I can take the iPad with me and watch my favorite shows wirelessly!

3) Reading the newspaper:

My newspaper released it’s iPad app and gave the first 15 issues for free, that is why I gave it a try. Reading the newspaper on the iPad is easier than I expected, and I love the fact that I don’t have to get out of bed anymore to get my newspaper! And it’s cheaper, I almost immediately gave up my paper subscription for the digital version. Now I hope that an update of the app is imminent, since it still crashes a lot, but luckily not while reading the newspaper!

4) Use it as a second monitor for my Mac:

…) iPod Touch Clock I know, this isn’t an iPad, well, you’re right, it’s my old first generation iPod Touch! When I got my first iPhone a year after I bought the iPod Touch, I didn’t want to just throw it away, and because of a malfunction in it’s audio jack, I wasn’t able to resell it, so I did what I thought is the best way to use an otherwise unused iPod Touch: It serves as a night clock!

It sits in a dual 30-pin charger, so I can plug in my iPhone next to it during the night and the iPod… well it only exits the charger for use as a remote for my iTunes and EyeTV.
